When are sessions available?

Wednesdays: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Additional ad-hoc sessions may occasionally be available.

Please note that the times listed above indicate the earliest and latest possible session start times.

How much do you charge?

My fee is £70 per 50-minute session.

The same fee applies for both in-person and online sessions.

Where do sessions take place?

Face-to-face sessions take place in my therapy room in the Mare Street Wing of St Joseph’s Hospice, Hackney, London E8 4SA.

I also offer sessions via Zoom. If you choose online sessions, you will need to ensure that your internet connection is stable enough to support both video and audio. It is also your responsibility to ensure that you are in a private and confidential environment during online sessions.

How accessible is your office?

Unfortunately, the Mare Street Wing of St Joseph’s Hospice is not a step-free building. My office is located on the second floor and there is no lift access. Please keep this in mind if accessibility may be a concern.

Are our sessions confidential?

Yes. Your attendance and the content of our sessions are treated confidentially.

As part of professional practice, I attend regular clinical supervision. Supervision helps counsellors maintain ethical standards, support client safety, and care for their own wellbeing. It also provides a confidential and reflective space to review clinical work with an experienced professional.

Please note that there are limits to confidentiality. These include situations involving serious and imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, safeguarding concerns relating to children or vulnerable adults, terrorism, or trafficking.

If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, please feel free to contact me to discuss them further.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from client to client. Therapy often begins with an initial 6 - 8 sessions to establish the therapeutic relationship and explore your needs, and may then continue on an open-ended basis.

Open-ended therapy means that there is no fixed number of sessions or predetermined end date.

I believe in promoting client autonomy and encourage you to trust yourself in recognising when it may feel right to pause or conclude our work together. I will always respect your decision, though I ask that you let me know in advance so that we can work towards an appropriate ending together.

Do you accept insurance or EAP clients?

No. I work exclusively with privately paying clients.

I am happy to provide receipts for payments made. It is your responsibility to request these if needed.

Do you work with anyone under 18?

No. I work only with adults aged 18 and over.

However, I may be able to signpost you to practitioners who work with children and young people. If this would be helpful, please feel free to contact me.

If you have any further questions, please contact me and I will be happy to discuss them with you.
